Job Description

Salary: $72,150 - 130,425 per year Requirements:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced test engineer to become part of our team, supporting various maritime and undersea systems for the US Navy. We prefer candidates with prior experience in DoD program-of-records. A background in electromechanical hardware, electronics, and software-integrated system testing is also desired.

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational abilities coupled with attention to detail.
  • Capability to plan, prioritize, and organize work independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including effective written and verbal communication.
  • Initiative in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems and creativity in addressing non-routine situations.
  • Proficiency in resolving complex issues through extensive technical knowledge, conceptual thinking, reasoning, and interpretation.
  • Understanding of software architecture and ability to execute software scripts to support testing.
  • Capacity to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Prior experience with electromechanical hardware, electronics, and software integrated system testing.
  • Willingness to travel to other locations up to 25% of the time.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Systems Engineering team to conduct a system requirements analysis (SRVM/RTVM).
  • Examine the program’s formal Statement of Work regarding system/product testing to ensure a thorough understanding of the complete testing scope.
  • Create and document comprehensive test plans, procedures, reports, and overarching test strategies.
  • Break down test cases into component tests in partnership with the development engineering team.
  • Coordinate with design engineers, production staff, clients, and other stakeholders to determine and develop verification methods for system, subsystem, and component-level requirements.
  • Organize, manage, and monitor project test efforts.
  • Provide support for field planning, shipboard mobilization/de-mobilization, at-sea testing, operational assistance, and overall field support.
