Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Discuss with the service advisors or customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the service advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed, and provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Perform quality inspections of vehicle repairs prior to returning the vehicle to the customer.
• Collaborate with service technicians to ensure efficient operations.

Skills :

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with automotive repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate repairs and maintenance.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
